Stylish mother holding her child in a fashionable carrierThere is nothing quite like understanding how you want your fashion to go – but when you have a baby, it always seems like it is more complicated. Baby clothes come with so many options – little pieces that are meant for little body parts, shoes, socks, hats, sweaters, and vests. All of the parts to baby fashion might look cute on your baby, but they take forever to get organized. Dressing a baby in a simple shirt and pants set can take twenty minutes – and most of the time you just don’t feel like adding anything else to the mix. Topping that off with your own fashion – trying to find all of those pieces and parts to your own clothing ideas and accessories can turn a great trip into a nightmare – or can turn a great day into a mess. The best way to deal with both your own fashion and the fashion of your baby is to keep it simple, all around. There are several steps that you can follow for both your own fashion and the baby’s fashion – so that you can be stylish and look great, but also so that you don’t have to spend all the livelong day figuring out what pieces go where.

First, buy things that match; when you are dealing with baby’s clothes, by shirts and pants that you can mix and match to create great new looks. Avoid buying any piece that needs to be paired with something in particular – or colors like orange or other bright colors that don’t match with some of the clothes that you might get. If you have items that don’t match – either for you or for the baby, it can be tough to find outfits that work well together. So, at least for awhile, try to buy things that will match with each other. Neutral colors are great – or even a color scheme that you can find. It is much easier to throw things on quickly when you know that you’ve got a lot of stuff that matches.

Keeping it simple is also one of the most important things to do. Try to make sure that you are staying away from unnecessary items that aren’t really needed. You want to keep it as simple as you can, and this includes staying away from items that you don’t really need. Having a hat or two can be great for baby, but just buy one that will match with everything the baby has – so you don’t have to worry about finding other hats to match other outfits.

Another tip is to keep your special items separate and organized so you can find them. If you have a pretty holiday dress for the baby, or even one for yourself, keep the dress, the shoes, and anything else that you wear with the dress in a place where you can easily find them. This is especially important for baby’s clothes – because they’ll get all over the place if you let them.

Keeping it simple can be easy – and it can be fun too. All it takes is a bit of organization and a little bit of time to get it done!

Do you agree or disagree?  Perhaps, I missed something?  Either way, I would just love to hear what your thoughts are on this topic… just let me know your alive!
