Mom FASHION can be hip, cool, and stylish!

Just because you're a mom, don't stop for a second and think that fashion has to go the way of late night parties and spontaneous weekend trips. Fashion can be something that you keep with you no matter how many kids you have, or how busy you are. With fashions that are changing from season to season, it might seem like a lot of work to keep up with the trends. However, you can be stylish and fashionable if you follow a few simple guidelines.

First of all, keep your eye on the more obvious things that you are noticing when it comes to fashion, and do the same thing. Keeping abreast of where current waist lines are on pants, the lengths of skirts, and the main shirt trends - such as long shirts, short shirts, or other types - is a great way to stay in fashion. These are just general ideas that are easy for you to catch, just by watching others. Wearing your clothes in the same way as others is always a good idea, because that way you know that you are with the times.

Secondly, keep a few items stashed away in your closet that has gone out of style. If you've got pants that rise really low, keep them for the next time low-rise pants are in style. The same goes with high waist pants, long and short skirts, and your shirts. Don't keep everything that you don't wear anymore, but keep a few items you think will come back in style so if you notice a change in the trends you can be right there with them.

When something new comes in style, buy one or two items that you know are really stylish. You can often pair these with clothes that might be a little bit out of date, and you'll still look like you are hip and in style. In fact, you might even provoke some new retro styles of your own! Buying only a few items means that you are keeping it simple, but you are also keeping in style. This can be great for you in all regards.

Also, take a few moments every few weeks to catch up on what's new with style. Just because you are reading parenting magazines and baby magazines, you don't have to ignore your old fashion ones. You can thumb through a fashion magazine as you stand in line or buy one to take on road trips or even doctor's appointments. Just a quick look to the fashion section will tell you what's in style and what might not be.

It is not always easy to get everything done when you are a busy mom. But, if fashion and style is important to you, you can maintain it, no matter how many kids you have or how busy you might be!
